Hi there!
I am an easy-going but busy professional based near Richmond upon Thames. By day I am an executive recruiter for the Energy sector; by night, I am an amateur actor on stage.
Due to the demands of my role, I do find it hard to meet new people outside my clients and close circle of local friends (all of which are in life-long relationships!), hence I am trying other methods to meet new people :)
Im a big theatre and arts fan when time allows, and as such take on roles in a couple of productions a year in my local theatre (professional outfit, not your usual Am-Dram! ;) ) and try to get out in to the theatre scene in London as much as I can.
I love popping down to the likes of the Saatchi Gallery when I get the chance, and do take in a few open air concerts throughout the summer months.
Keeping myself relatively active is important, and I enjoy playing squash, tennis and golf on a weekly basis (golf less-so due to the time/money involved, and I’m still rubbish!) Aside from going out to eat/drink with friends/watch friends' plays/gigs, I just as much enjoy curling up on the sofa with wine, a movie/book with a home-cooked dinner! Sunny weekends are spent cycling or gardening.... and I 'm big fan of BBQ parties as my friends will attest to!!
To be honest, looking ahead to next year; I am looking for a long term partner, but in the meantime meeting new people for friendship/ more casual relationship with someone special is great for now. I have no ‘expectations’ from a first meeting, as it is a case of seeing if things click isn't it?!
I am a very much a social smoker (eg not at work, dinner parties, in front of kids etc etc), but need a nudge to kick the habit completely... therefore if you are a smoker we can give up together! lol! :o)
So if any of my ramblings makes sense, and if you are free for lunch let me know... perhaps share a bottle of wine over some tapas or something similar…? :o) xx
