songbird68 - a melody you won't forget in a hurry

Hello to all you singletons out there and thanks for taking the time to read about lil ol me!
I've been on my own for the best part of 6 years and have to admit I quite like it that way, doing what I want when I want to. However, I'm sure if the right person came along that would change. I'm very independent, well then you have to be when you've lived alone as long as I have. I work as a medical secretary which has its good and bad points especially the commute every day.
Music is my biggest passion, and enjoy all genre's except for what constitutes dance music these days - garage music? I call it garbage! I sing and play several instruments although I don't have as much time for it as I'd like these days. Friends tell me I'm middle aged and should act it but I still feel like I did when I was a teen, only with slightly more wisdom, common sense and taste!
It would be great to meet a like minded guy who's mature enough to get on with me but feels that life is short and every day should be lived to the full. Someone who enjoys going out and socialising, as well as that obligatory DVD and wine bottle.
I love bowling, pubs and even clubbing (I'm usually one of the first on the dance floor) enjoy eating out (don't eat Indian though) meeting up with friends and family and travel as much as finances allow these days. I've been to 14 states and Hawaii is my next hope for a holiday.
I don't have any children, responsibilities or ties except to pay the rent on time. Preferably you would be in the same situation as I do like my weekends away. Anything else you want to know, just ask.
