I am not good at describing myself, but I will tell you a little of what my friends say about me.I am a totally honest, trustworthy, loyal and generous person trying to pick up the pieces and try to get on with the rest of my life. (whether it be a short time or a long time). My wife died in May 2008 after a marriage of 40 years that was as near perfect as it was possible to be. My mobility is not all that it might be, but I can manage about half a mile at my own pace. i am looking for someone for companionship at first - maybe holiday together - and if we really get on then who knows. I am of the old school - a gentleman by choice with a wicked sense of humour. I have my own car and my friends assure me that I'm fully housetrained.
Description of ideal friend or partner
An aquaintance of mine says 'not to take life too seriously - nobody gets out alive anyway'. I try to be as lighthearted as I can in company.Laughter is a great ' cure all' and is so important in my life and brightens up every day. I am looking for someone with a similar outlook on life and I would hope that there would be enough spark from a first meeting for a friendship to blossom into a lasting joyful and honest relationship each with total trust in the other. I suppose that I am looking for someone that likes a good old natter and who likes to 'Argue' in a nice way to make each other laugh and who would want to look after me and want me to look after her......together. Someone who likes to dine out or is happy to have a quiet night in.
