I firmly subscribe to the philosophy that life is a "one-hit-adventure". You only have it once, nobody knows how long it lasts and every day is different. Life constantly changes. Nobody can guarantee anything with any certainty and if you don't make the most of it... you waste it. For that reason, I extract as much as I can from it and carry no baggage. How can you travel forward in life if you keep looking over your shoulder and behind you? You'll just end up bumping into things that are going to hurt you even more.
YESTERDAY IS HISTORY... TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY... TODAY IS A NEW ADVENTURE.
I have a real zest for life and want to make the most of every minute there is. It's far too short so only do those things which make you happy. I love the outdoors, the countryside, wildlife, nature, stunning scenery and new places to explore. I'm not a "townie" but still go there for a good night out. I enjoy dancing the night away with a partner but I don't get to do it often enough these days. I don't spend half of my life in pubs and bars but I do like to go there occassionaly for socialising. I don't do "package holidays" lazing on the beach all day. If I'm going abroad, I want to explore the country and the local culture... not the overcrowded bars and beaches. I don't sit in front of the TV watching junk all night long although I will definitely grab a JD and cuddle up on the sofa for a really good film, documentary or comedy show.
I am tall (6'4") still slim, trim and in good health. I am easy going, very comfortable in my own skin and don't take myself too seriously although I can when the occassion calls for it. I'm a down-to-earth realist with both feet firmly on the ground but at the same time I maintain a buccaneering and inquisitive spirit. Extensively travelled, positive and upbeat, young in mind and soul, spontaneous and adventurous (I am willing and prepared to try anything once. Did I REALLY say that?). Possessing a playful SOH I tend to laugh at anything and everything (as long as nobody gets hurt). I am genuinely happy, contented and satisfied with my lot and station in life. Educated and articulate I enjoy all forms of conversation ranging from totally "off the wall" to deadly serious debate. I am communicative and usually have lots to talk about but am just as happy listening. Equally at home in suit and tie or jeans and trainers. I enjoy new adventures, travelling and exploring, warm climates, wide open spaces, mountains and coasts, the countryside, snorkelling in tropical waters, cycling, entertaining nights out, romantic meals, dancing, good food and wine, films, swimming, tennis, bowling, karting and motorsports, live rock concerts and pub bands, comedy clubs, relaxing trips away in my luxury caravan and "very wet" BBQ parties.
I am romantic, committed, 100% 1-2-1, compassionate, sensitive, kind, considerate, generous, very tactile and affectionate, dependable, sensual and place an extremely high value on honesty, sincerity, respect and integrity (I have no time whatsoever for mind games, deceits or "Players"). I have only been married once and that was for 23 years. We split up very amicably and are still the best of friends. We divorced on the grounds of religious differences... she believed she was a Goddess... I didn't :-)
