Ugly Duckling - I AM a swan!!!

I think the soul is more relevant than looks. I like to dress smartly on occasion, I believe hygiene and cleanliness to be really important. I'm interested in everything and want to learn about everything. Kids have left home so now I need a bit of company/friendship.... maybe more. Like to laugh at myself and others (!) and at life generally. Love animals and believe in social equality as an ultimate goal. Love classical music and pop and rock. Love movies and books and the arts. Always have something to say, although nerves sometimes get the better of me. I was pretty once! I'm short and rubenesque. Wear glasses now (little black frames) as can't afford contacts anymore. Have a medical condition that means I use a stick to walk, but no physical outward sign of incapacity. Maybe I'm just never meant to be with someone, but maybe there is someone reading this who might make me change my mind?
I am hoping to meet...
Hopefully someone who drives or can travel. Not too tall and not have lots of tattoos, other than that I'm not bothered about looks. I don't think they are important. What matters to me is meeting someone with a brain who can hold a decent conversation and who is excited and interested in life. A non smoker would be ideal. A wacky sense of humour would match my own and we could all do with more laughs couldn't we? A compassionate, kind man who isn't tainted too much by the downs life might have thrown at him. If you haven't got money that's ok... neither have I. If you have... great... you're paying!! Ha ha... I've been on my own for a long time, so if sex isn't high on your priority list that is fine by me too. I think someone who actually wants to meet someone like me and who is prepared to try to make a go of it is most important.
