SheffieldBloke - Single in Sheffield?

So where to start... I'm a happy and single (with no baggage!) looking for friendship and perhaps a serious relationship.

Bear with me... can never seem to find the right words here without trotting out a string of cliches!

If i were to describe myself in a few words they'd include optimistic, thoughtful, witty (I hope!), open-minded and trustworthy. I do tend to be a little shy at first, but the real me soon comes out. Life is for living and now I have time for it (just finished a long long period of study on top of the day job...) I would love to find that special someone to share the good times with.

I love being outdoors, walking in the hills, camping or simply getting out of the house for the sake of it. Love a wide range of music and go to gigs as often as possible and usually three or so muddy festivals each summer.

I enjoy travelling - recent destinations include Egypt, SE Asia and, er, Weston Super Mare - and the opportunity to experience new cultures and ways of life. I also enjoy eating out - thai and japanese are particular favourites - and am told I am rapidly getting better at cooking decent food.

Enough about me. I'm looking for a cheerful lady, of a vaguely similar sort of age. That said, personality is genuinely of far more importance than age, appearance etc. and what I really seek is a soulmate.
